In conversation with Die WELT, Prof. Robert Schlögl, Founding Director of the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion (CEC) in Mülheim an der Ruhr and participating professor at the FSC, talks about practical solutions for a successful energy transition. Sustainable energy is becoming increasingly important in Germany. However, it will hardly be possible to cover the demand sufficiently with wind turbines and solar plants as well as storage with the help of batteries. One possible solution: synthetic fuels from renewable energies.
