Climate change is prompting a fundamental shift in thinking in many areas. This is also important in the area of mobility.

 

In addition to electric cars that are charged with regeneratively generated electricity, research is also being carried out here in the area of green hydrogen propulsion. We are exploring many different avenues and looking for ways to produce fuels without fossil components that are at the same time sustainable and also affordable and socially acceptable. A key technology in this is catalysis. In this podcast episode, we talk about our work with it.

Prof. Niklas von der Aßen is head of the Department of Technical Thermodynamics at RWTH Aachen University. Since 2021, he has also been one of three rectorate representatives for sustainability, where he is particularly committed to sustainable operation of the university.Prof. Regina Palkovits is Executive Director at the Institute of Technical and Macromolecular Chemistry (ITMC) at RWTH Aachen University and holds the Chair of Heterogeneous Catalysis & Technical Chemistry (W3) at RWTH Aachen University.
